Walter Reed Army Medical Center takes great responsibility to offer the best
care for their patients and their families. They would accept nothing less than
that standard in their wayfinding system.
Interactive Touchscreen Solutions, Inc. installed Navigo Touchscreen Wayfinding
Systems at their information desks. Each Navigo System provides wayfinding maps
for patients and visitors. By installing Navigo at the Information Desks, staff
and volunteers at the Medical Center are close by to assist our veterans and
their family with obtaining maps and directions to services around the campus.
In addition to providing directions, Navigo also allows users to see the history
of the facility through numerous pictures and information briefs corresponding
with the years of service of Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Interactive Touchscreen Solutions worked directly with the US Army to obtain the
Connectivity of Networthiness which allows Navigo to be placed on Army network.
Only applications that are compliant to the Army's strict standards for
security, supportability, sustainability, and compatibility are permitted on the
Army Enterprise Infrastructure (AEI).
The Networthiness process applies to all infrastructure programs that use the
AEI network, including the Army National Guard, Army Reserve Command,
Department of Defense, Joint, Combined, Federal, non-DoD, and Coalition weapon
and information systems, National Security Systems, and all infrastructure
programs.
